Local tips for Dallas
Take the TRE train to matches
From Downtown Dallas (Victory Station) or Fort Worth (Central Station), take the TRE commuter rail to CentrePort station then free charter buses to the stadium. Buy tickets on the GoPass app. Runs 5 hours before and 3 hours after each match.
Extreme heat — be prepared
Dallas in June and July regularly hits 38-42°C. Drink water constantly, wear light clothing and bring sunscreen. AT&T Stadium has a retractable roof so matches are air-conditioned, but getting there involves being outside.
Arlington has no public transit
If you stay in Arlington, you need a car or rideshare for everything outside the stadium area. Post-match Uber and Lyft surges can be extreme with 2-3x normal pricing. Book in advance where possible.
Book parking in advance
Official lots around the stadium range from $50-75 per match. Semifinal parking has been reported at up to $1,000. Book through FIFA's official portal. Do not rely on day-of availability.
Tipping is expected
Tip 18-20% at restaurants and bars. This is standard in Texas, not optional. Most places add a suggested tip to your bill automatically.
Fan Festival at Fair Park
The official FIFA Fan Festival runs the full 39 days at Fair Park, east of Downtown Dallas. Free entry, live broadcasts of every match on big screens, food and entertainment. Accessible via DART Green Line (Fair Park station).

Getting to Dallas
Dallas is served by two airports. DFW International handles most international flights. Dallas Love Field is closer to Downtown but handles mainly domestic and Mexican routes.
