Local tips for Miami
Brightline train to Aventura then shuttle
Take Brightline from Downtown Miami to Aventura Station then board the match day shuttle to Hard Rock Stadium. Much better than driving. Buy Brightline tickets in advance on their app.
Afternoon rain is almost guaranteed
Miami in June and July has daily afternoon thunderstorms. They usually pass within an hour but can be intense. Bring a light rain jacket or small umbrella especially if attending evening matches.
Hot and extremely humid
Miami summer heat is intense with high humidity making it feel hotter than it is. Hard Rock Stadium is open air. Drink water constantly and arrive early before peak afternoon heat.
Fan Festival at Bayfront Park
The official FIFA Fan Festival runs June 13 to July 5 at Bayfront Park, a 436,000 square foot waterfront area in Downtown Miami. Free entry, 10,000 capacity amphitheater, live match broadcasts, concerts and food. Easy walk from Brickell hotels.
Do not drive to matches
Miami traffic is notoriously bad. On match days I-95 northbound gets congested well before 4pm for evening matches. Rideshare surge pricing after matches can be very high. Use Brightline or Metrorail.
Miami is expensive but has range
South Beach is very expensive. Little Havana, Wynwood and Overtown offer more affordable food and drink. Tipping 18-20% is expected everywhere. Cuban coffee (cafecito) is cheap and everywhere.

Miami International Airport (MIA) is the main international hub about 25 minutes from Hard Rock Stadium. Fort Lauderdale (FLL) is 25 minutes from the stadium by car and often cheaper for flights.
