🏨
Where to stay
Yaletown
Closest neighbourhood to BC Place, 5-10 min walk. Excellent restaurants and bars. Most expensive but most convenient. JW Marriott Parq is directly across from the stadium.
Closest to stadium
Downtown / West End
Best overall base. Largest hotel inventory, SkyTrain access, walking distance to stadium. Great for first time visitors to Vancouver.
Best overall
Burnaby / Metrotown
Much cheaper than downtown. SkyTrain Expo Line runs directly to Main Street-Science World, the correct station for BC Place. 20-40 min to stadium.
Budget friendly
Richmond
Near YVR Airport. Canada Line SkyTrain to downtown in 26 minutes. Good for fans with early flights or short stays around one match.
Near airport
Downtown hotels nearly sold out Fairmont and other premium downtown properties are fully booked for Canada match dates. Burnaby and Richmond on the SkyTrain offer much better availability at half the price.

🚇
Use Main Street-Science World SkyTrain station

🍁
No US visa needed for Vancouver only
If attending matches only in Vancouver and Toronto, you do not need a US visa. A Canadian eTA or visitor visa is all you need. This is a major advantage and cost saving compared to the US host cities.
🌧️
Pack for rain even in June
Vancouver in June can be wet and cool especially evenings. BC Place has a retractable roof so matches are protected from rain. But getting to and from the stadium may involve wet weather. Bring a light waterproof jacket.
🏔️
One of the most beautiful host cities
Vancouver is surrounded by mountains and ocean. Build in extra time to explore Stanley Park, Granville Island, the seawall, Gastown and North Shore mountains. Easily one of the best city experiences at the entire 2026 World Cup.
🎉
